Cigarettes
Berger boasted that his hand made cigarettes were the finest in Germany, made with an exotic blend of hand-picked Macedonian tabacco.
Größe Vierer was ORAMI's premier brand. A unique blend of four rich aromatic tobaccos from ORAMI's Macedonean tobacco fields, Größe Vierer was sold in beautifully detailed tin boxes. Each box, of course, included one of ORAMI's high quality cigarette cards.
Größe Vierer cigarettes were sold in three different boxes containing 5, 25 or 50 hand rolled cigarettes. The boxes themselves were sufficiently attractive to be table ornaments, and typically a 50 cigarette box would be found on desktops in the offices of business professionals and politicians to offer clients or guests the finest German cigarettes.
Sachsentstern, "Saxony Star," was ORAMI's most popular brand. Six high quality hand rolled cigarettes were packed into cardboard boxes and sold at a very competitive price. Included in each box of Sachsenstern, of course, was one of ORAMI's high quality photo cigarette cards.
The elegance, grace and beauty of Annemarie Mierisch epitomized all things ORAMI. This cigarette card from the Berühmte Tänzerinnen und Tänzer series (Famous Dancers) was one of ORAMI's most sought after cards and was used in large advertising posters.
Cigarette Cards
Cigarette cards were popular in America where Berger began his career in the cigarette industry. When he returned to Germany he didn't try to re-invent the wheel - he used principals established in America to make his band attractive.
ORAMI cigarette cards were amongst the most popular of the day, and surprisingly, today you can still find ORAMI cigarette cards and the albums used to collate them, for sale by collectors. Just search eBay(tm) for "ORAMI Cigarette Card" and you will be amazed to find that the brand lives on.
The cigarette card seen here is of Hans Albers, probably the most famous male film star in Germany during the 1930's and 1940's. It is part of ORAMI's Series C "Film Fotos."
Cigarette Card Albums - Helden der Luft
The popularity of ORAMI cigarette cards was enhanced by albums, sold by ORAMI, in which the cards could be displayed. One of the most popular collections was Helden der Luft - "Heroes of the Air."
Berühmte Tänzerinnen und Tänzer
Berühmte Tänzerinnen und Tänzer - "Famous Dancers," was a very popular collection, perhaps the most desirable of all ORAMI cigarette card albums.

Für unser Film Lieblinge - "For our Film Favorites," was another popular collection of film stars.
Das ORAMI Aschenbecher
Das ORAMI Aschenbecher, the ORAMI Ashtray, was produced in very limited numbers to compliment ORAMI's premium brand Größer Vierer.
The rose pink glass ashtray was made in Dresden and was only available at the finest stores. These ashtrays are highly collectable and very valuable.
